Lecture: Monday 9/17 - "Recipes for Leftovers" A show and tell of ideas for using bits and pieces leftover from quilting projects, plus other items that might be in one's stash.
**At both events, Carol will have her patterns and book available for purchase.
Carol Loessel loves traditional quilts. Her quilt designs reflect this. She began quilting in the early 1970s when all that was being taught were traditional methods for traditional quilts. Carol has accumulated quite a collection of scraps over all those years of quilting. This collection has led to some creative quilts, and after being told numerous times “you should write a pattern for that quilt”, she did just that! She has three pattern series: “Recipes for Leftovers,” “Thanks, Grandma,” and “Scrappy Too”. These patterns can be seen on her website http://carolsscrapquilts.webs.com. House of White Birches published Carol’s first book, Start With Scraps.
As a former elementary school teacher, Carol loves inspiring others to be creative through workshops and lectures. Carol and her husband Mark live in Macomb, MI. Contact Carol via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
