March 21 - Borders, Sashing and More

“Borders, Sashings and More” with Ilene Bartos
Date: March 21

Ilene has been working with fiber arts and quilting for almost
twenty years, designing both traditional and art quilts.
Artist’s statement: “Life is a journey and color can be used to
express all of the feelings and emotions that we experience along
the way. Once I discovered the joy of using fabrics and fibers for
my color palette, I was off and running…
"Borders, Sashings and More" is a trunk show with discussion
on how to add interest to your blocks by your choice of borders
and sashings. Come prepared to take home some ideas for your
next quilt or bring finished blocks to discuss alternate sashing and
border ideas.

Workshop “Fractured Piecing”
This workshop focuses on using freezer paper templates to sew
straight seams that have very little matching. It can be done with
either the "Fractured Leaves" pattern or "Double Trouble" pattern.
